True happiness?? Mmmmhhh…..What is true happiness? I am not sure to be honest. I never started this blog saying that I am an expert. I am on journey,probably the same way that you are. But I will tell you something- this journey is about discovering the real me and one of the exercises in my mentoring group was to find out my personality.
There are very many free online personality tests out there and I had done this before. Many times. We had been recommended to do the Myer Briggs personality tests and I had done this very test. I thought it would be a walk in the park. I mean like seriously,I already knew.
Imagine my shock when the test spewed out a different personality. I was like this test is wrong!! I did it again. Same results!!! I couldn’t believe it. Do our personalities just change willy-nilly? I simply couldn’t understand and yet when I read the description of that particular personality,it was spot on!!

It felt like cold freezing water had been thrown over me. I thought I knew me and now a test says otherwise and however much I would like to dispute it,it really did get me right. I decided to go to sleep- yep sleep does that for me….and when I wake up in the morning, my mind would be fresh to muddle through this quagmire. Hahahah!!
Well, I did go to bed and when I woke up, I still had no answer. My test showed that everything was the same except for introversion vs extroversion. I had changed from an extrovert to an introvert.
To be honest, I had never really accepted that I was an extrovert and yet I still can not say that I am 100% introvert. I realized I lie inbetween these two descriptions. Apparently an extrovert recharges by interacting and an introvert recharges by being alone. And still this description did not nail me and I realized that it’s ok.

We were created differently by an amazing God.No one can put us in a box and say that this is your personality because it doesn’t fully describe you. You know, we all have different experiences,different backgrounds,different cultures and all this plays a part in shaping who you are. Really,the only person who knows who you are is your creator. He designed you. He knows you.
Now I am not saying’” Do not take tests” or if you do,” Not take them for what it is.” I am simply saying that we are not just our personalities.These tests are a guide. Use them to guide you but the ultimate guide is Our God because He is the one who made us. I am created and designed by the designer of all designers. That’s who I am. This is me!
